O F Packaging are honoured to be recognised with 7 Finalist entries in 5 Categories at this year’s Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) Packaging Innovation & Design Awards.
We’re proud to continue our contribution to innovation by collaborating with like-minded people and businesses to get new ideas into the market.
The Roll ‘n’ Recycle program has again been recognised this year, with O F Pack showcasing the first ever kerbside recyclable spout pouch for Koh, and first Fold, Roll ‘n’ Recycle large bag in the market for Hypro Foods. The latest versions of the Roll ‘n’ Recycle label are providing even greater opportunities for a variety of pouch packaging products to be recycled at kerbside.
Recyclability is a big focus of the industry, and our 100% PE flat bottom range for Ivory Coat (Real Pet Food Co) with slider zipper feature is also a finalist, showing how brands can switch ranges across to mono-polymer materials and still satisfy high-end, premium appeal to consumers.
As part of Close the Loop Group, we’ve had new insights into recycled materials and how we can create circular economy products like Lousy Ink- who have worked with Close the Loop Australia to use reclaimed ink from their extensive printer cartridge take-back programs.
Steve Morriss, pioneer for the circular economy and Founder of Close the Loop Australia (division of Close the Loop Group), has been recognised as finalist for Packaging Professional of the Year for his contributions to the industry, in particular the reuse of complex multi-laminate, post consumer materials into TonerPlas– an asphalt improvement agent now in use across Australia.
